For the past week, it's been raining like crazy in Northern California. I thought why not do a shoot in the rain? So I reached out to my gf Quinn to see if she was available for coffee and a quick impromptu shoot in the rain. She said yes and suggested I get a clear umbrella for the shoot. I remember seeing one at Target, so I swung by and picked one up. I also noticed a lot of the Christmas items were on sale. I went ahead and picked up small portable led lights to create some delicious bokeh for the photo shoot.

Happy 2017!
Dearest Friends,
I was about to wish that your every dream come true. That you find yourself surrounded by friends, laughter, and good times. I almost wished that your every cup runneth over financially, romantically, spiritually, and creatively. That good health be your faithful companion, peace your guarded ally, and love your perpetual guide. When suddenly, it dawned on me that as an infinite, powerful, fun-loving gladiator of the Universe, with eternity before you and the power of your thoughts to help shape it... it's you, my friends, who will be granting wishes this year.
I'd like peace on earth, please.

Tres Hermanas
My girlfriend Nha and I often meet up to catch up with each other and it's usually over coffee, but on this particular day, we both came hungry. So I grab my coffee to go, and walked over to my favorite Mexican restaurant, Tres Hermanas.

Quinn Ung Photography
When I'm in Sacramento, I always go on a coffee date with my talented photographer girlfriend Quinn Ung. We would catch up on gossip, get each other updated on our lives, and if time permits, do an on spot photo shoot. I usually work best on spot.

Journey to the Dumpling
There's buzz going around Sacramento that a new dumpling restaurant is better than the beloved Din Tai Fung dumplings. I love dumplings in general, but hearing this amped me to go try out the place. Destination: Journey to the Dumpling. I'm pretty sure the name of the restaurant was inspired by Stephen Chow's movie Journey to the West. It's about a Monkey King. I don't have time to explain it, so google it. Ok!?

Impromptu Photoshoot with Tra
A couple days ago, I had an impromptu photoshoot with the ever so spunky Tra with the help of her hubby Henry. ^_^ Haha. They had bought a sweet light prop and wanted to test it out. It was really last minute, and I'm usually on the fly kinda gal. No reservations. On spot. More adventurous and I'm always down for adventure. I also got to meet up with Liz, another photographer who is there to witness the stupid crap I do behind the scene, like speak English in an heavy Vietnamese accent, or just plain speaking Vietnamese in an obnoxious tone. Haha.

Project Poke
Goodbye U Jelly. Hello Project Poke! (U Jelly, you will be missed) Yes siree! Project Poke is the newest craze in town and it's definitely worth a try. I came out for their media preview event to sample their menu and was not disappointed.
