My friend Phuong Mai treated us out to a really nice dinner that left me wanting more. DUCK HOUSE! It was perfect because I've been craving authentic Chinese for for a while. And the ultimate reason why I was late to my friend's birthday dinner. :D
We ordered two dishes; the roasted Peking duck (DUH) and the Taiwanese style BBQ eel on sticky rice. The Peking duck looked amazing. Presentation wise that is. The duck meat is pre cut and put in the center, with the crispy duck skin lining the edge of the plate. And yes, it tasted BOMB DOT COM!! Super tender and juicy. It came with a plate of hoisin sauce, thin sliced wraps, and shredded scallion. This entree itself is $55.95. We also ordered an extra plate of thing wraps since there was more meat. That cost an extra $6. >_<*
The Taiwanese style BBQ eel was pretty delicious as well. It's sweet and savory. I love the texture of the sticky rice, and the unagi so sweet, it melted in my mouth. UGHHH... so good. This plate is $28.95
These two entrees easily fed a group of 4. The service was exceptional. The servers and staff either speaks Cantonese or Mandarin. I highly recommend this place for those who are craving legit roasted Peking duck.
Do you guys know another restaurant that serves pretty authentic Peking duck!? Share them in my comments below. Thank you!
